The e-gold website is occasionally offline due to an unplanned technical issue.  Whether downtime is scheduled or in response to an unplanned technical difficulty, please be assured that it is our highest priority to minimize its duration.

Not sure whether we know?    Please do not contact Independent Exchange Services about e-gold website downtime.  Although they are as anxious as you (more so!) for the problem to be corrected, they are neither responsible nor able to make this happen.
